What Is Sinking Eternity?

Sinking Eternity is a single-player underwater exploration RPG developed and published by ZeroByte. This upcoming Early Access game keeps you on edge as you explore the depths of a mysterious underwater world.

Underwater Exploration, Crafting, and Skills

Swimming through the water, you can analyze objects to be able to catch or harvest them. Some resources require tools that you just can't quite craft yet in the demo.

As you do things, your skills will go up. I even gained a skill point just from running around!

Once you collect items, you'll be able to craft just like in any other survival game, building a crafting table, gear, and more.

I even shoved food into a hole to befriend a creature, only to be told I have to wait for the full game. I JUST WANTED TO SEE THE CUTE, DANG IT!!

Beautiful Creatures and Something Watching You

The creatures, from the fish to the monsters, are pretty. They're all bright against the dark ocean floor and rocks, making them stand out as you explore.

While exploring, you'll also notice ominous tentacles shooting from the ocean into the sky off in the distance. And then there are the floating drones that just seem to watch you.

I noticed one at first, but as I turned around, there was one at every angle. So, I'm really interested in seeing what role they play. Who is watching? Friend or foe?

Is the Sinking Eternity Demo Worth Playing?

This demo was short-lived. All the resources I found were underwater, with no simple sticks or rocks on the beaches. I guess my biggest problem was that there just wasn't enough to do.

The demo lasted about 30 minutes, leaving me wanting to see much more. There's an interesting world here, and I'm curious to see where the developers take it as the game continues to develop.

Sinking Eternity is currently listed as coming soon to Early Access, but you can check out the demo and join the playtest on Steam if you want to explore the depths for yourself.
